Headed in the right direction

Down 3lbs on my Friday weigh in. I felt lighter and I was right! Had some really good workouts over the past two weeks and now that I'm heading into a new session I really want to focus on maximizing my workouts. No leaving without doing my cardio and trying to get my cardio going at home too.

As to the food, the food, the food, the food. I'm still terrible about journaling and I'm just not keeping track of what I eat. I have to keep working on that and trying to get better. Perhaps I should consider CORE since I don't have to record but I'm just not confident that CORE is for me. I know its not the same but elements of it just remind me of Atkins and while it worked in the short term it didn't work long term. I realize that CORE is a much healthier approach but I'm not sure I can eliminate my grains.

Not the best week but all is not lost

Not the best week. I'm not sure if I am just being unnecessarily pessimistic since I actually was even this week at my weigh in. It was family day weekend and I definitely indulged more than I perhaps should have but I have stuck to my commitment of no drive inn food.

I did however have a Blizzard which is an insane amount of points. I also had a steak dinner at Nick's, a burger at the pub and a frapachino and cookie at Starbucks. It was also a weekend off from the gym between sessions. Despite my plans to work out at home that didn't happen.

I have been terrible about journaling and it seems like I just don't journal if its going to be difficult to figure out the points. Perhaps thats the solution? If I don't know how to journal it I shouldn't eat it?

This week I am setting the goal of having breakfast each weekday morning before I go to work, to drink 4 small bottles of water a day and to take my multivitamin.

Sunday Morning

Two weeks ago I signed up for WW again. This is my third kick at the cat so to speak so what makes it different this time? This time I am focusing on fitness more than the scale. I have been working out with a trainer since March 2007. I haven't seen a huge shift on the scale but I definitely see a difference in my body shape, strength and muscle mass. Now it is time to get the eating thing under control as well and that is where WW comes in. We all know what to eat and how much to eat some of us just don't do it and need a little help. The goal will be to post weekly with my successes and setback and to blog about how the journey is going for me.
